WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boosts in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.
The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new equipment. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that are used to level up weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. They can be purchased by players from item upgrade rs NPCs for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which will show an image of the item at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot for the item and the current item level. For instance weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The upgrade discount increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete specific achievements or quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit and an issue.
In Season 3, the upgrade system has been tweaked a bit, with some new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a certain level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading additional items to that level will cost less, even in the event that they are part of an entirely different set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific level upgrades for items. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a certain rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests depending on the type of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn lower-level gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty for gear in the endgame. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
Using these new currencies isn't too complicated, but the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. For instance, when an item reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
Another important change is that crests have one use therefore it's essential to use them wisely. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character which will only be able to avail the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
